Parent's ~ Look what is new for May!

Hello Kid's Point Parents!
Welcome to our new series for May.... Play It Cool!  It is all about the fruit of the spirit called PATIENCE!  A whole month of looking at what God's Word says about waiting until later for what you want NOW!

Our focus for Week 1, May 5th will be the story of Esau's birthright.  Esau comes in from hunting and is very hungry (Genesis 25:24-34). Because he can’t wait, Esau ends up trading his entire inheritance for a full stomach.

Our Bottom Line is: When you think you can’t wait, think twice. Don’t give up what’s best for something immediate.

This month's Memory Verse is from the Psalm 27:14, NIrV:

"Wait for the Lord.  Be strong and don't lose hope.  Wait for the Lord."

Our Meal Time question for this week is:

What is something you want to achieve that is going to take patience?

See you on Sunday morning!  :-)

April 28th Bottom Line for Parents ~ Friends worship with one another

Hello Kid's Point Parents!

Welcome to the last and final lesson preview for April's series .... STUCK LIKE GLUE Friendship.  Here is an overview for Sunday, April 28th....

In Week Four’s biblical principle, we learn that friends worship God together (Hebrews 10:25; Colossians 3:16). The early believers would meet in each other’s homes to worship God. They would sing praise songs, learn of Jesus’ teachings, and look for ways to help each other.

Our Bottom Line is: Friends worship with one another. It is important for us to gather with our Small Groups on a regular basis.

Take a moment at meal time to ask a kid:
When was a time you found a friend in someone you thought you had nothing in common with?

                                Memory verse for week four:
A friend loves at all times.  He is there to help when trouble comes.

Proverbs 17:17 NIrV

Can't wait to see you Sunday morning!

Bottom Line for April 21st ~ Friends serve one another.

Hi Kid's Point Parents!

Welcome to Week Three  from our Stuck Like Glue series on Friendship!  Here is your overview for April 21st!

Our Bottom Line is: Friends serve one another.

In Week Three’s biblical principle, Paul instructs the believers to use their new freedom given by God to care for the poor, widows, orphans, and others in need (Galatians 5:13b). When we get to spend time with our friends, we can serve them by thinking about what they would like to do, eating snacks they would like to eat, and looking for ways to help them.

Take a moment at meal time to ask a kid:

Encouragement can be cheering on someone who is doing well, or cheering up someone who's going through a hard time.  Which one do you think is easier to do, and why?

Memory verse for week three:

A friend loves at all times.  He is there to help when trouble comes.  Proverbs 17:17 NIrV

Can't wait to see you Sunday morning!

April 14th ~ Friends Encourage one another!

Hi to all our Kid's Point Parents!

Here is an overview of Week 2, April 14th for our Stuck Like Glue Friendship series for the month of April.

In Week Two’s Bible storyPaul writes to instruct his friends in Thessalonica to give each other hope, even though they faced persecution for their belief in Jesus.  1 Thessalonians 5:11

Our Bottom Line is: Friends encourage one another. It’s important for friends to encourage each other with positive words; to cheer each other on when we’re tired or hurt.

Take a moment a Meal Time this week to ask a kid:

What do you think you're more likely to regret:  choosing what you want to do, or choosing to be there for friend?

Memory verse for week two:

A friend loves at all times.  He is there to help when trouble comes.  Proverbs 17:17 NIrV

Can't wait to see you Sunday morning!

Sunday, April 7th ~ The Bottom Line: Friends accept each other!

Hi to all our Kid's Point Parents!

Here is an overview of Week 1, April 7th for our Stuck Like Glue Friendship series for the month of April.

In Week One’s Bible story, Paul writes to the believers in Rome teaching them about accepting one another (Romans 14:13; 15:7; Acts 9).

Our Bottom Line is: Friends accept one another. Even if someone has different interests than us, has a different background, or makes a bad choice, we can still accept and help them.

Take a moment a Meal Time this week to ask a kid:

Think about your friends.  How are you alike and how are you different?

Memory verse for week one:

A friend loves at all times.  He is there to help when trouble comes.  Proverbs 17:17 NIrV
